7th Semester CSE

Guidelines for Minor Project

7^th Semester, Paper Code: ES-451, Credits: 3

All 7th Semester students are required to form their teams for the Minor Project, following these guidelines:

• Each team must consist of exactly 3 students. Individual projects are not permitted; a minimum of 3 students per team is mandatory.
• A faculty member may guide up to 3 projects as a Guide and 2 projects as a Co-Guide. Please seek their approval before listing them as your Guide or Co-Guide.
• Students from different shifts (I/II) are advised not to form teams together. If such teams are created, the external viva will be scheduled separately in each student’s respective shift.
• Project topics should align with your chosen specialization or be based on recent technologies such as IoT.
• For Hardware and Product-based projects (such as IoT, Robotics, Communication, etc.), inter-departmental teams with students from ECE, EEE, ME, MAE (MAIT), or up to 2 junior CSE students are permitted, but only with prior approval from the HODs of the respective departments.
• It is mandatory for every team to publish their project work (with approval from their Guide/Co-Guide) in a reputed Journal, Conference, or as a Patent by 30th October 2025. Only accepted publications will be considered for evaluation, and the proof must be submitted to the Project Coordinators.
• Teams must submit their team details and Guide choices via the following link by 10th August 2025: https://forms.gle/jWVdfpeZCypLnE3S9. Only one submission per team is required.

Major Project

NOTICE

All the below listed students are hereby informed that the Second Defense of their Major Project is scheduled on 28^th April 2025 from 02:30 PM onwards. The following points should be noted while appearing for the Second Defense:

1. It is mandatory for all to appear for the defense in offline mode.
2. All must be in formals.
3. All the Project teams must get their Major Project Report Final Draft checked and verified from the Guide on the day of the defense.
4. Each student is required to submit the Progress Report to the panel at the time of presentation (duly signed by their Guides and Co-guides).
5. Prepare the presentation (not more than 10 slides) covering the following: Project Title, Problem statement, Abstract, Introduction (including Scope, Motivation, and Challenges), Literature Survey, Technology Stack, Architecture, and References.
6. All the students must update the status of Research Paper and upload the documents on the following link: https://forms.gle/kM1Ujsth3wRooa377

The Detail of Panel and Room No. will be shared later.

Format of the Major Project Report is shared on the Official Group.

Note: The final submission of all the documents and report in hard copy is 7^th May 2025 in room number 126.

8^th Semester 6 Months Internship (ES-456/458)

NOTICE

All students are hereby informed that they must bring Hard Copy of the following documents separately along with the Final Internship Report on 7^th May 2025 and submit to their respective Counselors:

1. Internship offer Letter stating the Stipend amount, if the amount is not mentioned in the letter then they must submit proof of stipend credited to their respective accounts along with the offer letter.
2. Internship Completion Certificate, if not completed then get a letter from the Mentor stating the start date and the ending date of the Internship.
3. Placement Offer Letter (On Campus / Off Campus / PPO).
4. Internship Feedback Form (Annexure 3).
5. Industrial Training Feedback Form (Annexure 4).
6. Employer’s Feedback Form (Annexure 5) along with the hard copy of the visiting card of the Mentor.
7. Proof of Research Paper / Patent Publication (if Applicable).

  1. Higher Studies (Offer / Admission Letter, GRE / GATE / CAT / Any other Entrance Exam Score Card)

  3. Trying for Placement
  4. Family Business
  5. Any other reason

First Defense of Major Project is scheduled on 11 th April 2025
