B.Y.T.E. (Brains Yielding Technical Endeavors) is the official society of MAIT. It comprises a group of individuals passionate about research and innovation where we develop industry-level projects and solutions. We dive into cutting-edge development and research initiatives,collaborating with like-minded enthusiasts to create something innovative everyday.

Departments :

  • Development: Focus on all kinds of development related tasks including Front End Web Development, Back End Web Development, Android Development, etc. Engagement in cross-domain collaboration, integrating design, development, and testing teams to deliver cohesive and user-centered solutions.Offer mentorship opportunities for members to develop their coding and problem-solving skills, contributing to the growth of the team and individual members.Actively contributes to open-source projects, encouraging members to collaborate and contribute to the wider tech community.
  • Design:The department encompasses a broad range of design disciplines, including UI/UX design, graphic design, social media content creation, and 3D modeling.Focuses on empathetic design by putting users at the center of the design process, ensuring that products are accessible, intuitive, and aligned with user expectations.Develops engaging content for social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and animations, tailored to enhance brand presence and audience interaction.Actively engages with the community through open design projects, collaborations, and contributions to design-centric events and initiatives.
  • AI/ML:Specializes in building, training, and deploying machine learning models using languages and frameworks like Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.Engages in research on AI algorithms, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision to develop innovative solutions and applications.Provides opportunities for members to work on real-world AI/ML projects, enhancing their practical experience and understanding of industry applications.
  • TecSec (Technologies & Security):The department covers emerging technologies and security disciplines, including IoT, cybersecurity, Web 3, and more.Explores and integrates other cutting-edge technologies, keeping the department at the forefront of tech innovation.Provides mentorship opportunities to help members develop their skills in IoT, cybersecurity, and Web 3, contributing to their professional and personal growth.

2.ByteLocker:

a.Description:A college security and attendance system utilizing facial recognition to track and mark attendance with live feed tracking.

3.Densepose:

a.Description:This research proposes a new method that uses existing Wi-Fi signals to estimate body pose. By analyzing the strength and direction of Wi-Fi penetrating through human regions (i.e. Dampening of signals), the system can create a heat map showing distorted body position, on which DensePose model is applied to predict the exact structure and position of a human figure

6.Ionic Thruster:

a.Description:Ionic thruster is a type of propulsion system that generates thrust by accelerating ions to high speeds and expelling them out of the back of the engine.The basic principle behind an ionic thruster is to use an electric field to ionize and accelerate a propellant to produce a small but continuous thrust.

7.Micromouse/LFR:

a.Description:Micromouse is a robotics competition that challenges participants to design and build autonomous robots capable of navigating through a 16x16 maze composed of grid cells. The objective is to find the shortest possible path from a predetermined starting point to the center of the maze. These robots must rely solely on their sensors and algorithms to map the maze, detect obstacles, and determine the most efficient route. Competitions measure the time taken by the robots to solve the maze as well as the algorithmic efficiency of the robot.

8.SereneHub:

a.Description:Discover personalized well-being journeys through our innovative platform, combining technology and empathy. Experience real-time emotional analysis, mood-based song suggestions, multilingual chatbot support with real time speech and text mood analysis, and SereneHuman for an intelligent virtual companion for empathy and mental wellness.

a.Description: A customized booking/ordering mobile app being made for MAIT's stationery and canteens.
