Computer Science and Engineering Department  organized Two-Day Faculty Development Programme on the topic “Emerging Trends in Networks and IoT” on 6-7 June 2017 in Room no. 114 for the CSE and IT faculties.

Day-1    Sensor Networks and Internet of Things

Session 3: Raspberry Pi

  • Raspberry Pi 1,2,3 Technical Specifications
  • Installation of Old Raspbian OS + Activation
  • Controlling Pi without Keyboard, Mouse etc.
  • Activating Internet etc. with other things on Pi
  • Display of Pi on VGA 
  • Making Pi a Web Server
  • Making Pi a Cloud Server via Tonido
  • Making Pi IoT Based Server using Mosquintto Server
  • Making Pi a Media Server  

Day-2 NS-3 Simulator

Speakers – Mr Alok Sharma, Dr Pooja Gupta, Mr Neeraj Garg

  •  Installation of NS-3 Simulator on Linux
  •  INSTALLATION of NetAnim and Wireshark (TCPDump) based Tools.
  •  Basic Simulation- Node to Node- Inbuilt Examples- First, Second Editing the Programs for CREATING NEW TOPOLOGY.
  •  XML Script Generation- for NetAnim based Frontend Simulation Pcap file generation- Wireshark based packet analysis
  • Simulation of STAR topology and ROUTING.
