About the International Symposium

The main purpose of the event is to create awareness about the role of smart cities in the future. This event emphasizes the role of academic institutes and industries in highlighting the importance of smart cities for a better quality of living. This Symposium will provide a platform for academicians, researchers, and industry experts to present their ideas, experiences, and work about smart cities to all the participants of the event. Research papers are invited, that stress the social, behavioural, technical, economic, and environmental impacts of the introduction of smart city applications and services. This symposium will bring a deeper understanding of the latest trends and challenges in Smart Cities technology and how to work together to build cost-effective solutions to problems faced by people in cities and metros.

All the submitted/accepted/presented papers in SCCTT-2023 will be published as proceedings of SCCTT 2023 by CEUR Workshop Proceedings indexed by Scopus and other leading databases.

Submission Deadline:                              15th September 2023

Notification of Acceptance/Rejection:   05th October 2023

Paper Submission

The Original unpublished Research Papers having minimum length of 10 "standard" pages (1 standard page = 2500 characters) on the topics related to the theme are invited for presentation/publication in the Symposium proceedings. 

  1. Authors need to use the uniform CEURART style for the papers. You can choose either the 1-column style as the uniform style for your proceedings. The CEURART styles can be found from the zip
  2. All papers must be submitted online via Microsoft CMT (Link: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/SCCTT2023/)
  1. All submissions will be thoroughly peer-reviewed by experts based on originality, significance and clarity.
  2. Only papers presenting original content with novel research results or successful innovative applications will be considered for publication in the Symposium proceedings.

Author agreement variants

  1. AUTHOR-AGREEMENT (NTP): Authors shall use this form if they included no copyrighted third party material in their paper text (or accompanying sources, datasets). This is the right variant in most cases.
  2. AUTHOR-AGREEMENT (TP): Authors shall use this form if they did include copyrighted third party material in their paper or accompanying material. They must then also attach a copy of the permission by the third party to use this material in the signed author agreement!

Plagiarism Policy

  1. The paper prior to submission should be checked for plagiarism from licensed plagiarism softwares like Turnitin/iAuthenticate etc. The similarity content should not exceed 15% (in any case either self contents or others). Further, you have to strictly implement the following ethical guidelines for publication:
  2. Any form of self-plagiarism or plagiarism from others' work(s) should not be there in an article. 
  3. If any model / concept / figure / table / data / conclusive comment by any previously published work is used in your article, you should properly cite a reference to the original work.
  4. Also language of explaining it should not be same as language of the work from which you have adopted it. 
  5. If you are using any copyrighted material, you should acquire prior permission from the copyright holder.
