SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2024
NOTICE
SIH 2024 Internal Hackathon at MAIT will be conducted in 1st Week of September 2023, dates for the same will be shared later. Teams interested to participate in Internal hackathon must fill the given below form as per the deadlines mentioned against the form links.
Team formation Guidelines:
- All team members must be from MAIT (No inter-college teams).
- Each team consists of 6 members, including the team leader.
- At least one female team member is mandatory.
- Only shortlisted teams of the Internal Hackathon are allowed to participate for the Smart India Hackathon 2024.
- A team can have maximum 2 Mentors (Optional, Faculty / from Industry).
- One Team can participate for maximum two Problem Statement.
- For Software edition, programming skills are crucial. For Hardware edition, multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged (Mechanical Engineers, Electronic Engineers, Programmers, Product designers, etc.).

Smart India Hackathon 2024 is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the most pressing challenges faced in everyday life and thus foster a culture of innovation and practical problem-solving. Through the Smart India Hackathon 2024 (SIH2024), the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) tried to crowdsource solutions for improving governance and quality of life and offers students an opportunity to showcase their skills but also encourages collaboration with industry experts, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Pitch Your Idea Summit 2.0
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering , Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi, in association with IEEE Smart Cities, successfully hosted Pitch Your Idea Summit 2.0 on the 19th and 20th of September 2024. The event brought together over 80 students, with more than 20 innovative ideas being presented.
The summit was organized by Prof. Namita Gupta, HOD, CSE, and Organising Secretary of the event. Dr. Neelu Nagpal, Vice Chair of IEEE Smart Cities, graced the occasion with an insightful address, highlighting the mission of IEEE Smart Cities and the immense benefits of becoming a member.
The event featured a distinguished panel of investors including Mr. Tarachand Dhoundiyal (Founder, Shemade), Mr. Siddharth Sharma (Co-Founder, Techvanch & Codehub Nexus), Ms. Pia Sahni (Director-Head, AdagioVR), Mr. Sanjay Kumar Garg (CEO, Aryav-Ecofriendly Resources Pvt. Ltd.), and Ms. Divya Rai (Senior Consultant, Sustainability SME, Capgemini). Their participation added immense value to the competition by providing critical feedback and potential investment opportunities to the students.
