BIG DATA & HADOOP

Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized One-Day workshop on “BIG DATA & HADOOP” by Mr. Ankit Kumar (Business Development Executive) on 08^th February 2018 in association with CETPA for all MAIT Engineering students.

In this workshop, the students were made familiar with the concept of Big Data, as petabytes of data piling on day by day. It made students aware of how large data sets can be handled in a safe and cost effective manner. Students were also introduced to Hadoop tool which supports the processing and storage of extremely large data sets in a distributed computing environment.

Workshop was coordinated under the supervision of Dr. Namita Gupta (HOD, CSE) and Mr. Moolchand Sharma (Assistant Professor, CSE). Many students participated in the workshop where practical hands on training were given to them. The students were helped with their queries in order to provide them a skill set for their future endeavors. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic response and participation from the students which made a workshop a success.
