Navigating the Tech Industry: Insights & Guidance 3.0

TechCom, the official technical society of Department of Computer Science & Engineering, MAIT, organized a webinar on “Navigating the Tech Industry: Insights & Guidance 3.0” on 30th August 2025 from 10:30 AM onwards. The event aimed to continue the tradition of bridging the gap between juniors and seniors, fostering mentorship and guidance within the department. With 40+ enthusiastic participants, the interaction remained lively and insightful, giving students clarity on both technical preparation and personal growth during their B.Tech years.

The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Harsh Rajput, an accomplished professional currently working as SDE 1 at HP and former SDE 1 at Microsoft. Drawing from his own journey, he shared valuable insights on placements, DSA preparation, development skills, and overall college life. His balanced perspective between academics, skill-building, and practical industry expectations proved highly beneficial for the students.

A dedicated Q&A session allowed juniors to seek tailored advice on career challenges, resume-building, and strategies to crack technical interviews. The event concluded on an inspiring note, reaffirming the importance of mentorship, peer learning, and consistent efforts. It not only strengthened the bond between juniors and seniors but also motivated students to align their college journey with long-term career goals.

The success of “Navigating the Tech Industry: Insights & Guidance 3.0” was made possible under the guidance of Prof. Namita Gupta (HOD, CSE), Ms. Kavita Saxena (Assistant Professor, CSE), Ms. Deepti Gupta (Assistant Professor, CSE), and Ms. Karuna Middha (Assistant Professor, CSE). The dedicated efforts of the TechCom team further ensured the smooth execution of the event.
