Navigating the Tech Industry: Insights & Guidance 2.0

 TechCom, the technical society of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering conducted a senior junior interaction “Navigating the Tech Industry: Insights & Guidance 2.0” on 08th September 2024 in an online mode from 11:00 AM onwards. The event aimed to bridge the gap between juniors and seniors in the department, fostering a spirit of mentorship and guidance. The event speaker was Mr. Nawed Ali, an accomplished MAIT alumnus, and ex-promotional & social media in-charge, currently working as a Software Engineer at ListnrAI. His firsthand experiences, industry challenges, and practical advice were relatable to all the attendees and provided a comprehensive perspective on navigating the tech landscape.

During the session valuable insights on career development and the evolving trends in the industry were shared by the speaker. His experience transitioning from front-end technologies to DevOps, ML and backend was inspirational and insightful. Further, the discussion covered various aspects of a tech career, from academic foundations to real-world applications, and how they differ, offering students a clear roadmap.

The event saw participation from 60+ students, who engaged actively in the Q&A session and received tailored advice and practical tips. Overall, "Navigating the Tech Industry: Insights & Guidance 2.0" reaffirmed the importance of mentorship and the value of learning from those who have walked the path before. The event provided a platform for

aspiring students at MAIT to gain insights and motivation, paving the way for their future endeavors. It not only brought juniors and seniors closer together, but it also inspired students to dream big and do their best in college and in their careers.

The event was a great success under the guidance of Prof. Namita Gupta(HOD, CSE), Ms. Kavita Saxena(Assistant Professor, CSE), Ms. Deepti Gupta(Assistant Professor, CSE) and Ms. Karuna Middha(Assistant Professor, CSE). The hardworking efforts of the TechCom team made to event reach great heights.
