The GDG MAIT Orientation – Info Session was held to welcome new members and introduce them to the initiatives, vision, and upcoming projects of Google Developer Groups (GDG) MAIT. The session provided an overview of GDG’s objectives, the benefits of active participation, and how
students can contribute to and grow within the GDG community. Attendees were informed about the benefits of joining GDG, including skill enhancement, networking, global community exposure, and career growth opportunities.
The orientation aimed to familiarize attendees with GDG’s structure, highlight learning opportunities, and showcase past and ongoing events to inspire active involvement. Participants gained clarity on the roles of various teams, avenues for skill enhancement, and resources available for professional development and community engagement.
Highlights of the Event:
 Welcome and Key Message: Dhruv Vishrant, President of GDG MAIT, welcomed participants and introduced the community’s vision. Tanvi emphasized that GDG oƯers skill development, networking opportunities, a global community, resume enhancement, and a fun learning
environment.
 Core Team and Advisor Introductions: Advisor Rohit Goel and Vice President Ritika shared their insights, emphasizing mentorship, leadership opportunities, and the value of active participation in GDG.
 Department Introductions: Teams including Content, Creative, Social Media, Video Editing,Event Management, Outreach, and Coordination were introduced, with details of each team’s roles and responsibilities. Participants understood how they could contribute eƯectively.
 Mentor Introductions: Mentors from Tech, DSA, AIML, Android, AI, Web3, Cybersecurity,DevOps, Web Development, FinTech, and Open Source introduced themselves and shared guidance opportunities for members.
 Upcoming Activities: The session outlined key programs such as Cohort Kickstart, DSA Sessions, Resume Reviews, collaborative projects, hackathons, workshops, and other initiatives designed to enhance technical and professional skills.
 Past Achievements: GDG MAIT’s impactful initiatives, including the Google Solution Challenge,Build with AI projects, Hacktoberfest contributions, and other workshops and speaker sessions, were showcased.
