Coding Blocks Workshop

TechCom, the technical society of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, MAIT, and Tech Vision Alliance (TVA), the technical society of the Information Technology Engineering (ITE) Department, MAIT, organized a workshop titled “Roadmap to Top Product-Based Companies like MAANG” in collaboration with Coding Blocks on 10th September 2024, the event took place at the Main Auditorium, MAIT, from 1:00 PM onwards and drew a massive crowd of over 480+ students. Mr. Yajjur Malhotra and Ms. Himanshi Jain, TechCom, Student Coordinators (3rd year, CSE) anchored the workshop.

The workshop was led by the speaker Mr. Kartik Mathur, a founding member of Coding Blocks. Mr. Kartik Mathur provided invaluable insights into navigating career paths toward securing opportunities in top product-based companies, specifically MAANG (Meta, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google). He also emphasized the importance of staying up to date with industry trends, participating in coding challenges, and networking effectively.The session delivered practical and actionable guidance for students to break into these competitive fields.

In addition to the workshop, an engaging quiz was conducted, where students tested their knowledge on the topics discussed. The quiz saw enthusiastic participation, and the top three winners were awarded exciting goodies, adding an element of fun and competition to the event.

The energy in the auditorium was electric as every seat was filled, and students were highly engaged throughout the session. Attendees were not only inspired by Mr. Kartik Mathur’s personal experiences but also gained a clear understanding of the steps needed to succeed in the highly sought-after product-based company recruitment process.

The workshop was a huge success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of TechCom and Tech Vision Alliance, under the guidance of  Prof. Namita Gupta, HoD of the CSE Department, and Prof. (Dr.) Amita Goel, HoD of the ITE Department and the support of faculty coordinators Ms. Kavita Saxena(TechCom), Ms. Karuna Middha(TechCom), Ms. Deepti Gupta(TechCom), and Mr. Varun Goel(TVA).

This event marked yet another step toward TechCom’s mission to equip students with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in their tech careers. It also strengthened the ties between MAIT students and industry leaders, ensuring that aspiring engineers are well-prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
