HackwithMAIT 6.0
HackwithMAIT 6.0, the annual national-level hackathon organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, was held from 30th October to 1st November 2025. The hackathon was sponsored by Unstop in collaboration with Microsoft and IEEE ComSoc, Institution’s Innovation Council, Duality AI, GoFr , Plum BodyLovin’ as Bath & Bodycare Partner and with TechCom and WhatAClick as Community Partners.
The hackathon featured diverse innovation tracks including AI & Generative Intelligence, Cybersecurity, IoT, Sustainable Tech, Healthcare, FinTech, and a special multiplayer-game track by CompeteHub ,ES Solutions.The hackathon witnessed phenomenal participation with 581 teams and 2,556 students registering through Unstop. Among them, 126 teams represented MAIT, while 228 teams came from institutions across 70+ cities and over a dozen states, including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana thus embodied the theme “Building Beyond Boundaries,” fostering creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem solving.All the teams competed for a prize pool of ₹30,000.
The inauguration commenced with the blessings of distinguished guests, Dr. Nand Kishore Garg, Founder and Chief Advisor ,MATES and Chancellor of Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi, and Shri. Vineet Kumar Lohia, Chairman ,MATES, Prof. (Dr.) J.V. Desai ,Director General, MAIT, Prof. (Dr.) Indira Bhardwaj, Director MATES ,Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Sharma (Director, MAIT), Prof. Harbhajan Bansal (Dean, Management, MAIT), Prof. (Dr.) S.S.Deswal, Dean, MAIT ,Prof. (Dr.) Sachin Gupta (Dean, R&I, MAIT) ,and Prof. Namita Gupta (Program Chair & HoD, CSE) .
The MAIT Director General, Prof. (Dr.) J.V. Desai, extended Vote of Thanks to the faculty and student coordinators who collaborated with the convenors, Ms. Kavita Saxena, Ms. Deepti Gupta, and Mr. Anupam Kumar, as well as the co-convenors, Dr. Sudha Narang, Dr.Farzil Kidwai, Dr. Moolchand Sharma, Dr. Neetu Gupta, and Dr. Deepak Gupta.
Prof. (Dr.) Indira Bhardwaj,Director of MATES, encouraged students to embrace creativity and technical excellence to design sustainable, inclusive, and socially impactful solutions aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Sharma, Director of MAIT, remarked that HackwithMAIT 6.0 inspires young innovators to think beyond boundaries, innovate with purpose, and use technology as a catalyst for positive change in society.
Prof. Namita Gupta (Program Chair & HoD, CSE) addressed the audience and laid out the rules and regulations for the hackathon.
The Ideation Round saw 308 teams (1,086 students) submitting ideas, from which 178 teams were shortlisted and 71 teams advanced for prototype evaluation. On October 30, 2025, the first round concluded with 28 teams selected for the next round held on October 31, 2025, followed by the Grand Finale at Microsoft Office, Noida on November 1, 2025, where finalists presented their innovative solutions and the winners were announced and awarded with cash prize and exciting goodies.
