ACM-MAIT Student chapter organized an Online Coding event named “CodèMocha” on 8 March, 2017 for all the budding engineers to enhance their problem solving skills.

The event was open for all the students pursuing Bachelors in Technology. Over 100 students from different engineering colleges and branches registered for the event. The programming contest took place in the evening from 9:00 PM till 10:30 PM thus maximum students actively participated in the event. The test was not language specific so participants could give the test in any language they were comfortable with like - C, C++ or Java. Doubt Session was also organized by the members of ACM-MAIT on 9 March, 2017 for all the participants so that the students could have a proper understanding of all concepts and further strengthen their coding skills. The winner of the event, Archit Chauhan, student of Computer Science & Engineering (VI-Semester) of JIIT College, was given a cash prize of Rs.2000/- and all the other participants were given participation certificates.

Students enthusiastically participated in the event as coding helps students develop a range of skills which are essential to today's job industry requirements, such as-critical thinking, logic, mathematics, problem-solving, creativity, sequencing and structured language skills.
