The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at MAIT organized an industrial visit to MeitY on 18th March 2024, with a group of 40 students accompanied by faculty members Dr. Sandeep Tayal and Ms. Savita Sharma. The visit aimed to delve into the topic of 'Digital India-Empowerment and Transformation.'

Mr. Sunil Kumar, Additional Director at MeitY, delivered an extensive presentation, providing profound insights into the workings of the ministry and its objectives. The session commenced with an introduction to the ministry, followed by a comprehensive discussion on the evolution of the Digital India program, its nine pillars, and the key focus areas for continuous growth.

Furthermore, students were provided with live demonstrations of various websites developed by the ministry, along with detailed explanations of their functionalities. To assess the understanding of the subject matter, a quiz based on the knowledge gained during the session was conducted, and the top three performers were rewarded with prizes.

Interactive Q&A sessions throughout the presentation facilitated practical understanding and allowed students to gain valuable insights. The industrial visit proved to be highly significant, offering students a great opportunity to deepen their understanding of digital empowerment and transformation initiatives undertaken by the government.
