One-day Industrial Visit to National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI)

Department of Computer Science and Engineering organised One-day Industrial Visit to National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) ,Delhi on 11th January 2023 (Wednesday) .32 students along with faculty members Mr. Yogesh Sharma and Dr. Sandeep Tayal visited the place. During the visit, students got a detailed understanding of connectivity of different ISPs, packet charging and routing. They studied about Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN) in India that provides allocation and registration services of IP addresses and AS numbers. Students acquired information about different types of ISPs in India and role of NIXI in managing there inter connectivity.
