Tezos Guild Event
TechCom, the official Technical society of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, in collaboration with Tezos India conducted a workshop on Blockchain on 22nd April 2024. The workshop was conducted in Lab No 131-132 from 11:00 AM onwards. With 90+ registrations and 60+ active participations, the event became a massive success.
The speakers of the event were Mr. Gurinder Dua (Faculty Expert Associate, Blockchain), Mr. Alekh Johari (Founder of Anemoi Solution) and Mr. Simarpreet Singh (Developer Relation, Tezos India).
The event started with the workshop session headed by Mr. Simarpreet Singh, who interacted with the audience and taught them about Blockchain Technology and how to create a virtual environment for building their first smart contract on Tezos Blockchain. The participants built an EVM contract on Tezos using Etherlink and deployed those under his guidance. Participants who completed it were rewarded with swags. Further, the event proceeded with a panel discussion. In this all the speakers actively interacted with students. At the end of the workshop a quiz was taken, and winners of the quiz were awarded with exciting prizes.
The event was a great success under the guidance of Prof. Namita Gupta(HOD, CSE), Ms. Kavita Saxena(Assistant Professor, CSE), Ms. Deepti Gupta(Assistant Professor, CSE) and Ms. Karuna Middha(Assistant Professor, CSE). The hardworking efforts of the TechCom team made to event reach great heights.
