Department of Computer Science and Engineering, MAIT in association with National Institute of Technology Delhi and IEEE ComSoc Delhi Chapter organised ``International Symposium`` under the theme of “Smart Cities Challenges, Technologies and Trends” on 4th November 2022 at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi.

The Symposium aimed to bring a deeper understanding of the latest trends and challenges in Smart Cities technology and how to work together to build cost-effective solutions to problems faced by people in cities and metros.

The primary goal of this Symposium was to create awareness about the future prospects of Smart Cities. The event served as a platform to exchange ideas and thoughts in an international prospect. The event provided a forum for those interested in smart cities to listen, learn, present, and discuss cutting-edge knowledge, research, strategies, and success stories.

65 papers submitted across the globe and  based on the review outcomes 22 papers were shortlisted to be presented in the symposium. All the submitted/accepted/presented papers in SCCTT-2022 will be submitted to be published in Scopus Indexed Book/ Journals.

Symposium was organised in Hybrid Mode with 13 Papers were presented in Online Track and 9 Papers in Offline Track. Online Track Session was chaired by Dr Deepak Sharma, Associate Professor, IGDTUW and Mr. Anupam Kumar, Assistant Professor, MAIT. Offline Track Session was Chaired by Dr. Anmol Rattan Saxena, Associate Professor, NIT Delhi and Dr. Ashish Khanna, Associate Professor, MAIT.

During the inauguration, Dr.Nand Kishore Garg (Founder Chairman and Chief Advisor, MATES) emphasized the need for organizing International Symposium. Prof. Neelam Sharma (Director, MAIT), Prof. Namita Gupta (HoD CSE ,General Chair) welcomed all the participants who have come to share current developments in the field of Smart Cities and its related aspects. Prof. Ajay Kumar Sharma (Director, NIT Delhi) was the Chief Guest, Prof  Rachana Garg from DTU who is also Chair of  IEEE Delhi Section was Keynote Speaker, Prof. Brahmjit Singh from NIT Kurukshetra and  Vice Chair IEEE ComSoc Delhi Chapter spoke about latest developments in Smart Cities, Invited Speakers Mr, C B Arun Kumar, Academic Director, EDGE by Pearl Academy discussed about Building Digital Twins and Metaverse with Unreal Engine, Dr. S.K. Agarwal, Head of AI, Sony India highlighted Metaverse SmartCities with AI.In the end Dr. Anurag Singh ( Associate Professor, NIT Delhi and General Chair SCCTT 2022) gave vote of thanks.

In the evening Session , Special Address was given by Ms. Diana Nicutari, Journal Specialist, Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data followed by Certificate Distribution Ceremony.
