Faculty Development Programme


Five-Days Faculty Development Programme on “Networks and Simulation” was organized by Computer Science and Engineering Department from 8th to 12th June 2015 in Room no. 114 for the faculties of CSE and IT Department. Around 50 faculties of both the Department attended the FDP.

CSE faculties- Mr. Alok Sharma, Mr. Ashish Khanna, Mr. Neeraj Garg, Mr. Anupam Kumar and Ms. Pooja Gupta successfully conducted the Five-days FDP and provided hands-on experience on Network Simulator (NS2) and other aspect of networking.

  •  Working with simple examples – wired and wireless scenario
  •  Working with existing protocols
  •  Simulation and interpretation of trace file
  •  Trace file analysis using awk scripts
  •  Plotting Xgraph
  •  Performance evaluation of routing protocol
  •  Energy and Security Models
  •  C++ and OTcl integration method
  •  New Agent creation
  •  Creation of new packet structure
  •  Sending and receiving our own packets
  •  Design and recompilation of new protocol
  •  Adding external patches in NS-2
