WORKSHOP ON “ANDROID”

Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized One day workshop on “ANDRIOD” in association with Coding Blocks on 25^th January 2018 in Mini Auditorium for 4^th Semester CSE students.

Dr. Namita Gupta, Head of Department, CSE, Mr. Ashish Sharma and Mr. Yogesh Sharma (Assistant Professors, CSE) coordinated the event which was attended by 71 students of the CSE Department.

The session started with a welcome speech by Prof. Neelam Sharma, Director (MAIT) followed by motivational speech of Dr. Namita Gupta, Head of the Department, CSE. The session was delivered by Mr. Arnav Gupta (Coding Blocks – Founder member). Mr Arnav is an Android OpenSource developer and a GSoCer/GSoC mentor.

The workshop started with a brief introduction about Android followed by App Development in Android Studio. The workshop involved creation of a basic Calculator using XML and Java. It was an interactive session and speaker shared his experiences on hackathons that he had won.

Following students of CSE II and III year worked hard to organize the workshop: Sushant Verma, Radhika Bansal, Srishti Sahni,Anmol Mittal, Swati Singh, Sanket Singh, Heena Garg, Gyan Vardhan, Abhishek Gupta, Ayush Kumar Tripathi.
