Faculty Development Programme

Five-Days Faculty Development Programme on “Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning” was organized by CSE and IT Department from 10^th to 14^th July 2017 for the faculties of CSE and IT Department. Around 50 faculties of both the Department attended the FDP.

On Day 1, Dr. Parag Singla, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Delhi covered the topic - Markov Logic and Recent Research. He also enlightened the faculties with recent research work.

On Day 2, Dr. Vikram Goyal, Associate Professor, IIIT Delhi covered the topic- Map Reduce Design Patterns and cloud computing.

On Day 3, Mr. Yash Sharma and Mr. Shivam Sharma , Software Developer at Hackveda, VMDD Technologies gave the demonstration of Big Data and Hadoop Installation on cloud environment.

On Day 4 and 5, Dr. Prashant Singh Rana, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab gave the hands on experience on R Programing for solving Machine Learning and Data Mining problems.
